Title: The Photos of Random Things
Post by: CVfan13 on July 06, 2008, 03:20:26 pm
Hi. Post pictures of things here, like your room, your Collections of things, whatever. I'll start with a tour of my room.

__ EDIT__ (marto)
Hey guys, I'm changing this to the random photos topic for your rooms, collections, as CVfan13 mentioned earlier when he made this, and we'll leave the other pictures topic for those comfortable with posting pictures of themselves.
Creeping Shadow if it's okay, can you post your picture in the new topic?

Thanks! ^^ Just thought it'd be a good edit.

I feel like I have been in your room now, lol. So, you printed some of those CV pictures on your second photo?
They look very good; small but high quality. I could do the same with some Ayami`s art that I like, but have only in digital form. What kind of paper should I use? I think I will go in a photo labs/workshop to get it printed.

Thank you! You really feel like you've been there? I used Glossy Photo paper and a printer special meant for printing 4x6 inch photos from a camera card. I also have a larder printer like that, with which I printed the two larger Death Note Images.

Yeah, you gave us the whole tour of you room, showing all the little things you have. It is nice to have things you love all around, isn`t it? Sometimes I like to take all of my DVDs, CDs or games and look at the boxes, covers and booklets. :)

Btw, I threw away my PoR bonus black box and made my own CD case with parts of the bonus. I can post a pic sometime, but it`s nothing special.

The one of mine would be very scary! :P
( I have a very chaotic setup of my bedroom... :o )

Ooohh Chaos! It ain't scary, though. :) My room can sometimes seem worse...

I envy you guys who own Castlevania stuff and Kojima's images.. I live in piracy country. It isn't practical to buy original stuff, since original stuff are WAY expensive. :( I think I can still get some Kojima stuff printed though.. That shouldn't be too hard or too pricey. Hmm..

Wow, Mercurius, you need some organization help. Though, right now, I'm not doing too good myself...  :-\
Warfreak, I really pity you. You have my utmost sympathy. You should come to America someday in the future. Or Japan. I'm sure I'll end up there eventually.  ;)

Title: Re: The Crimson Renaissance Official Photo Thread
Post by: warfreak on July 06, 2008, 08:54:59 pm
;D I will go to other countries when I graduate (hopefully before, if I have the money and get a visa and all that other junk) and shall buy Castlevania stuff! 8D Well, it's at least cheaper over there, I think. Many things are cheaper in America (even online prices for example), especially technological stuff, and they ship it here, so we pay extra for the shipping and..stuff.

Title: Re: The Crimson Renaissance Official Photo Thread
Post by: CVfan13 on July 06, 2008, 08:57:44 pm
I always pay loads of crap for shipping from Japan. That's why it would be more worth it to actually go there.

OK, for start I will post bigger photos of my framed Ayami`s posters. I used thumbnails so you can click on them if you want to see it bigger. When I get time, I`ll take photos of other, less interesting things.

Soma looks amazing here, as I already wrote in "our favorite Ayami`s pieces" thread and the frame was perfect. When I had seen the frame, I knew that I want it immediately. It is a very thick silver frame with blue ornaments. It blends so well with the colours of the poster and it gives it entire new dimension. I keep this on the wall where my PC is.

(http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/4457/dsc06731aut3.th.jpg) (http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc06731aut3.jpg) (http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4586/dsc06748arr6.th.jpg) (http://img257.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc06748arr6.jpg)

The second one is the latest poster from Dracula X Chronicles. I got a dark golden thin frame for this one and it looks very nice in it, giving it a royal feel.
(http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/4893/dsc06735asm5.th.jpg) (http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc06735asm5.jpg) (http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8519/dsc06749ant1.th.jpg) (http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc06749ant1.jpg)

I uploaded two photos of each frame, one before it was hanged on the wall under artificial light and the other one on the wall under natural light = sunlight through the windows. I enjoy these posters around me, in all their glory and surrounded by these nice frames which make them stand out so well.

Wow... That's quite a room! I notice you have the CD called "Zelda: The Music"... I have that one as well ^_^
I'll post up a pic as soon as I can of my room, but my collection is rather disappointing, I'm afraid. As soon as I get back from San Jose, however, I may have some worthy things to show...

Hmm....well, I don't have a picture of my room right now, but here's my Ghost in the Shell collection! ^^

and this, which I don't have a picture of online yet, but I can still show it. Cost me $500 dollars, not even a hundred of them in the whole world. Compare the doll size to the DVD! :)

Thanks. Actually, I think I have most of the Zelda CDs. I'm missing the Majoras Mask Orchestrations, Link to the Past Sound & Drama, The Twilight Princess Promo thing, and another collection CD or two. Your collection can't be too disappointing, I'd still like to see it. Soon, I'll post an updated pic of my CV collection.

Marto: I see you like Ghost in the Shell. I'm actually not familiar with it... it's an anime, right? My favorite anime is Death Note... *cries upon remembering Death Note's ending*

Oh, come on, you have to some stuff to take a picture of. How did you get into the series if you didn't actually own anything? Same for you... everyone else. I'd like to see your collections too.

Nope. My best friend used to own a pirated copy of SotN, which we played. It then stopped working some time after she got the Duplicator...All the other games I have are either downloaded on my PSP or on emulators. Yes, CVFan13.. I literally don't own anything. :(

A picture of part of my room on one of its messy days.

Here are some pictures of the Lego Castle I'm working on. It's called 'Palace of Antipathy'.

In the bottom you can see some undeveloped land and what looks to be some dirt road. A 'Cordova Town'-inspired zombie village will go here. Left of that, you might be able to make out a a very large bridge, this is inspired by the 'Mortvia Aqueduct'. Right of that, between the castle and the soon-to-be town is a small forest inspired by, you guessed it, the 'Forest of Jigramunt'(yes, I love CV: CoD.) To the right of the forest is an undeveloped hill. A small house, belonging to old man, who you might be able to see in the forest somewhere, will go here. Well, I still have to put in a Clocktower and finish the tower which you can see the base of on the roof of the castle, and then add the CV-style cantilever castle keep I already have built. Then comes one of the best parts, the town(not sure if I've ever expressed how much I adore Cordova Town...).  ;)

Here's the garden in back of the castle, with some statues and such.

And inside the chapel with two of my characters... fighting.

That's damn cool! *throws daggers of envy* .... I wish I had the talent, as well as the funds/ability to buy Lego pieces to build something like that.  :) That is indeed an amazing talent.

Title: Re: The Photos of Random Things
Post by: CVfan13 on August 11, 2008, 10:18:46 am
Thank you, Warfreak. Yeah, I'd like to disagree and say that Legos aren't that hard to get, but that would be a lie as they've become quite expensive. Used too.  I'm still looking to find some at garage sales, as I'm running out of pieces... well, anyway, all of my Lego pieces are a result of an obsession as old as I am.  ;)

Hah! I reign supreme! MUHAHAHA!

Wait, this is supposed to be a "Photos of Random Things" thread, not a "random things" thread! XD Well uhh..

I always wanted one of these. :) I have the usual ones, but these kamagong ones (shown in the picture) are more expensive.

I imagine this was a "photos of random things which you actually took" thread, but hey, trying to stay on-topic (somewhat) here. XD

P.S. They're Arnis sticks. I used to practice Arnis until about two years ago. :( I still miss it a lot.

Book covers here are generally transparent plastic, actually...
