Title: Animal "Cruelty" = Art?
Post by: warfreak on August 04, 2008, 08:13:05 am
I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject, but I learned of these.

..Apparently they tied up a dog to a wall (for an unknown period of time, and it's also unclear whether they cared for the dog well) and, along with a message on the wall. Animal cruelty? Or was he just trying to show people's hypocrisy? What are your opinions on this?

Its a touchy subject, on one hand its the artists vision but on the other it is indeed animal cruelty. Thats really a head scratcher...

Cruelty, there is no excuse for doing those things. In my ideal world, people like that would immediately be burned to death.

There would be few people left in your ideal world, then.. Relatively. ;D I dunno.. For me, it's an issue of whether the dog was cared for. Tying up a dog is fine as long as it is for short periods of time and the dog is fed well, but since it died, no, it wasn't cared for. Cruelty.

You can call anything art but there are things that are not ethically justifiable. Leaving an animal to die is not being artistic, it's being an ****.

Call it being an **** if you want, but in my honest opinion..............................that's just sick. Just plain sick. (You thought I was going to say something else, didn't you? :P)

O___o' That makes you better than those people.....how exactly? That's a very unjustifiable solution to another individual's cruelty. Not only, but it's just as cruel on your part.

I personally, would much rather put them through psychological traumas, break them from the inside. I don't kill anyone that way, I destroy them forever inside their mind, and they have to pathetically live with it for the rest of their lives.

We are all asleep. Shall Death open our eyes? Will we learn the lesson, and become capable to really feel love for living beings?

Love is a sentiment forgotten when cruelty's strenght takes hold. At such a point injustice is the justifiable law of the blind and heartless.
