I noticed a DXC section has been added to VK, unless that's been there before.

yeah, it would seem so. I'm doing a book report on Carmilla for English class, and I chose to make my own book jacket as the project. I already designed the artwork, and it's like a fusion of mine and Ms. Kojima's styles! I can't wait to show you!

Now then, anyone read any other good books lately?  Grin

I just finished "Interview with the Vampire" last week.  It started off really good but got really slow in the middle.
Did anyone else read it?

Mm, no, but I've heard of it. Is it really good? What's it about? What year was it published?

I don't what kind of books you like.  It's pretty dramatic and depressing.

1970ies. I think.

What's it about?

The life story of a vampire. I can't say much because otherwise I will spoil the story.

I like drama and depression.

Ah, ok, so it won't be as difficult to read as Carmilla, which was about in the 1870's

Sounds intriguing. I'll have to check it out sometime!

Anne Rice, man. >D I think Interview is the only book of hers that I've ever finished.  Undecided I stopped somewhere in the middle of Vampire Lestat. It was too dragging, heh. Tongue

You should try reading some more recent books too. Wink There are plenty of good ones out there...

I adore Interview with the Vampire. I started on The Vampire Lestat awhile ago but like warfreak I stopped. Lips Sealed

I should pick it back up. Tongue

I'm more into the classics, to be honest. I'd like to get through Dracula and Frankenstein first. And, judging by how much I love Carmilla, I'd love to read more of J. Sheridan Le Fanu's stuff.

Speaking of classic things, sort of, I just picked 5 classical CD's at my local thrift shop! There's a Bach collection (including the Tocatta, of course  Wink) and 4 other random collections of classical music. Yay!  Cheesy I also got 4 episodes of a 1950's Robin Hood TV series on DVD, but that's a different story.  Wink

I hate my luck. The fact that I was happy for the weekend to come(more than usual) and then my internet went and died off on me. It came back today. What were the odds of that happening?! Ugh!

That sucks, Watsa, I often have bad coincidental luck as well. And I can imagine how crappy that would be. I lost internet connection for about half of the summer a few years ago and I almost went MAD. Proves how IAD has invaded the minds of this world...
