Teachers should have to go through a rigorous test of will, compassion, understanding, and knowledge before being allowed the job.

I think you should be surprised about how "many" teachers could get past a set of tests like the ones you have just proposed.

Well, the test should be to put them in front of various classrooms for a very long amount of time and if they are evil they should eventually crack and the "students" can decide.
